Dining Table

Grandson Jomi Gaston of Cafe Uma, cooks up a fantastic buffet lunch, sure to satisfy your taste buds. This international Chef used to work abroad for a multinational company before heading back home and putting up his own restaurants. Chef Jomi prepares only the freshest ingredients found in Manapla market. Afterwards, visit the innovative Church of Cartwheels, designed by Msgr. Gigi Gaston to reflect the daily life of farmers. In the 1960's, the Vatican had issued a decree, encouraging the enculturation of the Catholic Faith in the local language. It also encouraged the men of faith to build houses of God that resembled the local culture. The Church of Cartwheels was designed and is notable for its use of indigenous farm materials and implements within the church. To this day, mass is celebrated every Sunday and feast days.
